Let's make a chain!

July 2009, RealmLab (Istanbul, Turkey)
A viral application that we did for fun in 5 days. Point was to gather as many users possible for a cause in limited time (like the "I bet there are 1 million people" groups). It evolved to something else and in the end went from 0 to 300k users in 3 weeks. We pulled the plug at the end of summer.

University Wars Game Creator

2008-2009, Middle East Technical University (Ankara, Turkey)
I designed the user interface of the game creator part of the RealmCrash project, where players in different games (universities) could interact with each other. It involved a lot of user testing as we tried to walk everyday users through Facebook's developer interface. We stopped development after the academic year.

RealmCrash Game Engine

2008-2009, Middle East Technical University (Ankara, Turkey)
RealmCrash is a social MMORPG game platform that we developed as our senior year project in METU. It supported multiple realms and multiple games, and I created a very flexible OO-CSS structure (4 layers of CSS :) to accomodate different types of games: we implemented a sci-fi game, a cookie game and user-created university themed games on the platform.

GC Patchwork Studio

April 2008, (Ankara, Turkey)
My mother has a Wordpress blog integrated with Flickr, where she showcases her artwork and other things going on at her studio (she's been dubbed the "quilting super star of Turkey" :)). Her blog started to look old so we came up with a new design.

Wiki design for Nääspeksi

August 2007, Tampere University of Technology (Tampere, Finland)
During my Erasmus year in Tampere I participated in an improv theatre group called Nääspeksi (imagine improving in a language you've learned for only one year!). They had an ongoing project of re-organizing and re-designing their web page (implemented on top of pmwiki). I created the visual style for the public-facing site and their intranet.
